This class is open to anyone—whether you've begun a memoir, or

our understanding of memoir through lectures on craft, examples
of award-winning memoirs, in-class and at-home writing
exercises, and presenting work for critique (optional).

Notice Anything New?
How about those fabulous green
wing chairs and the table with the crock pots of soup? The table was
a gift from our barista supremo,
Michael Love,
and used to be in his room at home. The chairs are from Value
Village.
Michael and Sarah had just 4 days to spiff up the place and “could
ANYTHING they wanted. Sarah even made the lovely red curtain to hid
the back of the fridge.
Gone are the La-Z-Boy couch and TI KI bar. Bye, Bye.

We punch your card for eleven visits. We have a card file, too,

Sometimes the Winter around here is quite lovely. Come sit
a spell in our
"Smoking
Doggie Patio."
It's
a really nice place to sit with your pooch at one of our umbrella
tables.
Bask
in the mid-day sun and smoke your pipe or cigarette if you'd like.
You'll have the best view in town of our beautiful Liberty Bay.
Sip a delicious latte yourself, and we'll give you a Milk-Bone for

The Backroom is Re-Opened and the Hillside is Fixed !!
It’s finished!
The hillside now is ... well, a HILLSIDE!!
Yes, now the last part of the project is just to wait and watch the
grass seeds sprout under the plastic “greenhouse” that's temporarily
covering it.
I want to express my sincere thanks to Sealevel Bulkhead Construction,
to The Sons of Norway -- for the very generous use of their parking
lot -- and to all our wonderful customers who crammed up front in the
half-open coffeehouse for a whole year.
Come in and reap the rewards. The backroom view of glorious
Liberty Bay is now better than ever!

Our Poulsbohemian Upcoming Regular Events:
On Monday nights
every week we have a Prose Writing Workshop that meets at 7:00 PM. The group has been meeting
here for nine years and is currently full. Call the Coffeehouse for
details and if there might be an opening.
Join Us in Producing "The Worlds Longest Scarf"
Come join the "Sip-N-Knitters"
every
Thursday
afternoon from
4:00 to 7:00 PM.
Bring your own projects or add a few rows to
"Our World’s Longest Scarf”
project. And
to date more than 200 men, women, and kid knitters have contributed to our
effort!
Or
just come by anytime really, and sit and knit a stitch or two while enjoying
a latte. If you want, bring in left-over "end yarn" that will be added
to create this fiber art piece. The current record is
Twenty-One Miles held by
some old Scottish ladies, so here we go ...
So our scarf will
go for
Twenty-two Miles
... that’s about the distance from the Poulsbohemian to Marianna’s house up
in Hansville. We have two ends going at once which cuts the knitting
time in half. So far, it's been calculated to take 54 years.
Come by and take a few years off. Caffeine will speed up the production.
And as you can see from the photo below, Marianna's been working double duty
on this daunting task. Come in and give her a break!
Catch us
and this picture in the Spring/Summer edition of
Vogue Knitting International
Magazine.
